Definition of registration of hazardous chemicals
According to the "Administrative Measures for the Registration of Hazardous Chemicals", enterprises engaged in the production or import of hazardous chemicals shall register hazardous chemicals with the local safety production supervision and management department responsible for the registration of hazardous chemicals.
Enterprises need to obtain a registration certificate before they can legally produce or import hazardous chemicals.
The approach was formally implemented in August 1, 2012.
Scope of registration of hazardous chemicals
According to Articles 2 and 21 of the Measures for the Registration and Administration of Hazardous Chemicals, there are two types of chemicals that need to be registered:
· Chemicals listed in the Catalogue of Hazardous Chemicals;
· The hazardous characteristics have not been determined, and it is determined to be a hazardous chemical after identification.
Dangerous Chemicals Registration Administration
According to Article 5 of the Measures for the Registration and Administration of Hazardous Chemicals, the institutions in charge of the registration of hazardous chemicals are:
· Chemical Registration Center of the State Administration of Work Safety;
Local hazardous chemicals registration office.
Contents of registration
According to Article 12 of the Measures for the Registration and Administration of Hazardous Chemicals, the registration of hazardous chemicals shall include the following contents:
• Classification and labeling information;
· Physical and chemical properties;
Main use (legal use and prohibited use);
· Hazardous characteristics;
Safety requirements for storage, use and transportation;
· Emergency measures for dangerous situations.
