The Measures for the Registration of Environmental Management of New Chemical Substances have been deliberated and adopted by the ministerial meeting of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment on February 17, 2020, and will come into force on January 1, 2021. The Measures for the Environmental Management of New Chemical Substances (Order No. 7 of the Ministry of Environmental Protection) issued by the former Ministry of Environmental Protection on January 19, 2010 shall be repealed simultaneously.
On November 17, 2020, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment issued an announcement on the "Guidelines for the Registration of the Environmental Management of New Chemical Substances" and related supporting forms and instructions for filling in the form, the full text of which is as follows:
Code for Nomenclature of Environmental Management of Chemical Substances, 2024 Edition
In order to implement the the People's Republic of China Environmental Protection Law and other laws and regulations, standardize the naming of chemical substances in environmental management, support the registration of environmental management of new chemical substances, the management of the list of existing chemical substances in China, and the environmental risk assessment and control of chemical substances, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the people's Republic of China approved the Code for naming of Environmental Management of Chemical substances as the national ecological environment standard and issued it. This standard will be implemented from July 1, 2024.
