The "Regulations on the Supervision and Administration of Cosmetics" officially implemented in 2021 has attracted great attention from cosmetics and raw material companies. There are a large number of sebaceous glands on human skin, which can secrete oil to the surface of the skin to form a sebum film. As one of the components of the skin chemical barrier, it plays an important physiological role such as moisturizing. The right amount of oil can keep the skin moist and soft, but excessive oil secretion leads to the excessive reproduction of lipophilic bacteria, fungi and parasites, which will cause a series of skin problems.

At present, the academic circles believe that the reasons affecting oil secretion include androgen secretion, air temperature, reflex oil secretion, parasitic biological effects and so on.

human body evaluation method
The human body evaluation method is to set the test area and the control area on the skin surface of the subject under certain temperature and humidity conditions, and to test the oil content of the test area and the control area after applying the sample for a certain period of time, so as to evaluate the oil control effect of the test sample.

In vitro test using cell method (sebocytes), in the role of hormones in the establishment of in vitro oil secretion model, after administration by analyzing the amount of oil secretion to evaluate the oil control effect of the sample.

 

According to the "Cosmetic Efficacy Claim Evaluation Standard" (No. 50 of 2021), the oil control efficacy of cosmetics can be tested by one of human efficacy evaluation test, consumer use test or laboratory test.
