Solid Management Center Went to Guizhou Province to Investigate Hazardous Waste Pollution Prevention and Control

From July 8 to 11, 2014, Hu Hualong, assistant director of our center, led a team to Guizhou Province to investigate the prevention and control of hazardous waste pollution. He successively held symposiums in Guiyang City and Tongren City and investigated some enterprises on the spot. Jiang Ping, deputy director of the Environmental Protection Department of Guizhou Province, and Qiao Dianxin, assistant mayor of Tongren Municipal Government, attended the symposiums held in Guiyang and Tongren respectively. Guizhou solid waste Management Center and Beijing Jinyu Mangrove Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. participated in the survey.

The research group held a discussion with some domestic cement kiln co-processing solid waste enterprises in Guiyang City, and mainly discussed the current situation of cement kiln co-processing industry, the main problems existing, and the suggestions for promoting the development of cement kiln co-processing.

The research team held a symposium in Tongren City and discussed with the relevant responsible comrades of the Tongren City Government and the Bijiang District and Wanshan District Governments on how to promote the prevention and control of solid waste pollution in Tongren City. The symposium initially reached an intention, and the Tongren City Government will entrust our center to carry out the work related to the preparation of the "13th Five-Year" environmental protection plan for Tongren City.

In the course of the investigation, the research team also went to some mercury-containing waste recycling enterprises, electrolytic manganese production enterprises, as well as mercury smelting waste slag, phosphogypsum tailings pond and manganese slag yard to learn about the prevention and control of solid waste pollution.
