Notice on Carrying out Annual Report on New Chemical Substances in 2019-Solidification Center of Ministry of Environmental Protection

On December 13, 2019, the Ministry of Environmental Protection issued a notice on the implementation of the 2019 annual report on new chemical substances. According to Article 36 of the Measures for the Environmental Management of New Chemical Substances (Order No. 7 of the Ministry of Environmental Protection), the registration holders of simple declaration and hazardous new chemical substances (including key environmental management hazardous new chemical substances) shall report the actual production or import of new chemical substances approved for registration in the previous year to the Solid Waste and Chemical Management Technology Center of the Ministry of Environmental Protection before February 1 of each year.

The software of the online reporting system for the annual report of new chemical substances will be opened from January 1, 2020. Holders of relevant registration certificates shall report the actual activities of all simple registration certificates and regular registration certificates of hazardous categories (including new chemical substances of key environmental management hazardous categories) obtained in 2019 and before as required.
