Solid Management Center Participates in Solid Waste Pollution Prevention and Control of Tungsten Smelting Industry in Southern Jiangxi and National Hazardous Waste List

On April 25-26, 2014, the Solid Management Center participated in the "Discussion on the Prevention and Control of Solid Waste Pollution in the Tungsten Smelting Industry in Southern Jiangxi Province and the Revision of the National Hazardous Waste List" organized by the Solid Institute of the Chinese Academy of Environmental Sciences in Chongyi County, Jiangxi Province ". More than 30 people from the Department of Pollution Control and Solid Management Center of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, as well as solid management centers in four provinces and cities including Jiangxi, Jiangsu, Guangdong and Chongqing, attended the meeting. At the meeting, the relevant leaders of Chongyi County Government introduced the current situation and main problems of environmental management in the local tungsten smelting industry. The staff of the Solid State Institute of the Chinese Academy of Environmental Sciences and the Hazardous Waste Department of our center respectively introduced the work plan for the prevention and control of solid waste pollution in the tungsten smelting industry and the progress of the revision of the National Hazardous Waste List. Participants conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on the further improvement of the solid waste pollution prevention and control work plan for the tungsten smelting industry and the revision of the "National Hazardous Waste List. Li Lei, deputy director of the Pollution Prevention Department of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, and Hu Hualong, assistant director of the Solid Management Center, participated in the research activities of tungsten smelting enterprises.
