Pre-registration is in progress after South Korea K-REACH

It has been almost two months since the pre-registration of the K-REACH, and there are still customers to inquire whether K-REACH pre-registration can be done now. Xiao Bian is here to tell you a good news!

South Korea the official pre-registration system is still not closed, enterprises can still submit it. The requirements submitted at present have not changed for the time being, but now it is not pre-registration but post-pre-registration. The following is a brief introduction to post-pre-registration.

Conditions required for post-pre-registration

A. the average annual export volume to South Korea in 2016, 2017 and 2018 is less than 1 ton/year, and relevant supporting documents (specific document requirements and other official notices) may be required.

B the tonnage of South Korea exported for the first time and before June 30, 2019 did not reach 1 ton, but it may exceed 1 ton in the second half of 2019. Post-registration can be carried out within a limited time.

If the pre-registration is not completed within the limited time, the product can only be put on the market after the formal registration is completed.

Information required for post-pre-registration

1) Registrant Information

The registrant can be: producer/importer in South Korea, non-Korean producer/manufacturer (entrusted OR, sole agent in South Korea)

2) Chemical substance identification information: chemical name, CAS number, etc.

3) Annual production/import volume

4) Classification and labeling of substances

5) Information on the use of chemical substances

6) Importer Information

Precautions

The deadline for the pre-registration of existing chemical substances is 2019.07.19, after which the change is a change declaration. If an enterprise wants to change the relevant information of the pre-registration that has been completed before, it cannot directly change it online at present, but needs to submit a change application form.
