Knock on the blackboard! U.S. EPA Annual Production Report Due March 1!

Only a few weeks left! EPA-registered businesses must report production for 2020 reporting year on or before March 1, 2021. Annual production reports submitted electronically must be submitted by midnight EST on March 1, 2021. In order to maintain a valid EPA registration, you must file a report even if you did not produce a pesticide or device during the 2020 calendar year.

Since most EPA staff still work remotely, the EPA encourages electronic filing of reports to ensure proper submission and timely review of your report. To ensure that your report is submitted on time on or before 1 March 2021, we encourage everyone to register with SSTS for an electronic reporting option: https://www.epa.gov/compliance/electronic-reporting-mediator-estigations 。

Using the Electronic Reporting System (SSTS), you can check the status of your annual production report by logging in to the SSTS and clicking on "Submission History" on Form 3540-16, and as long as the status shows "EPA Accepted" or "Pending EPA Review," you have submitted it correctly without doing anything else. If more information is required, EPA will contact you directly.

For products subject to the FIFRA Act, distributors and manufacturing plants must register with the EPA. Among them, distributors in the United States need to obtain a company number (Company Number or EPA Register Number), and any factory that produces and distributes these devices or active agents must obtain an EPA trade number (EPA Establishment Number). A company number or registration number can be associated with multiple trade numbers.

After obtaining the relevant number, the manufacturer's trade name (EPA Establishment Number) must be marked on the outer package. At the same time, packaging and labeling should meet the requirements of EPA regulations.

Any factory that has obtained EPA registration must report to EPA the sales volume of the previous year, including specific product categories, models and sales quantities, before March 1 of each year. Manufacturers registered for the first time must submit to EPA the sales volume of the previous year within one month after obtaining the EPA firm name.

For fungicides, pesticides and other products, if the active ingredients not approved by EPA are applicable, relevant information must be submitted to EPA to prove the safety of the active ingredients on the link. At the same time, the label of such products must also be filed with the EPA.
