Concept of Environmental Butler

 "Environmental butler", that is, "contract environmental service", is a new business model for environmental pollution control, which means that environmental service enterprises provide contract-type comprehensive environmental protection services to the government or enterprises, and provide integrated environmental protection services and solutions such as monitoring, supervision, construction and operation of environmental protection facilities and pollution control to the park. In short, environmental service enterprises provide one-stop custody services on environmental protection according to the needs of industrial parks and industrial enterprises.

 

The concept of environmental butler was first put forward in the Guiding Opinions on Actively Exerting the Role of Environmental Protection to Promote Supply-side Structural Reform issued by the Ministry of Environmental Protection in April 2016. The Guiding Opinions clearly put forward to promote the development of environmental consulting services and encourage qualified industrial parks to hire third-party professional environmental protection service companies as environmental stewards to assist the parks in handling environmental protection matters.
