Notice on the annual report submission on new chemical substances in 2019 by China MEP

On December 13, 2019, the Ministry of Environmental Protection（MEP） issued a notice on launching the annual report on new chemical substances in 2019.

According to Article 36 of the “Measures for the Environmental Management of New Chemical Substances” (Order of the MEP No. 7), the holders of the simple registration and registration of new hazardous chemical substances (including new hazardous chemical substances for key environmental management) shall be registered. The actual production or import of new chemical substances approved in the previous year should be reported to the Solid Waste and Chemicals Management and Technology Center of the Ministry of Environmental Protection before February 1 of each year.

The new chemical substance annual report online reporting system software will be open from January 1, 2020. The relevant registration certificate holders should report all the simple registration certificates and hazards (including key environmental management hazards) obtained in 2019 and before according to requirements. Class of new chemical substances) the actual activities of the conventional registration certificate.
